Group-Based Services

Evidence-informed group interventions are typically offered as weekly sessions that run after school hours and range 8 to 10 weeks. Groups include a series of planned sessions that are designed to address the identified needs and goals of the child/youth and their family.

Possible group options include; social skills building, developing coping skills, art therapy, etc.

 

Who this service is for:

Most groups are geared toward children and youth, though from time to time we offer groups for parents and caregivers.

Service Location

Group-based services are typically provided at Chimo’s main office in Lindsay.

Commitment

Engaging in services requires a commitment from the young person to consistently attend group and parents/caregivers will ensure that they able to arrange transportation to and from the group.
