Chimo Youth & Family Services Can Help
Chimo Youth & Family Services is an accredited Children’s mental health agency that is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. We are a voluntary program that provides a variety of services to meet the needs of children, youth and their families in the community.
Chimo is a not for profit agency incorporated under provisions of the Ontario Not for Profit Corporations Act and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who represent the community served.
COVID-19 PANDEMIC SERVICE UPDATE: JANUARY 15, 2021
Dear Clients and Community Partners;
Chimo Youth and Family Services remains committed to providing essential mental health support to young people and their family during these challenging times. While we have had to make some adjustments to our service delivery to keep our staff and the community safe, we are here to help.
Here is update on our services:
The Thursday night Walk-In Clinic continues to be suspended; however, individuals can call us directly and book a single session with one of our workers.
The crisis line continues to be available and operate as per normal hours of operation.
Where possible, face to face meetings will be suspended and individuals will be supported over the telephone or virtually.
All visitors to any of our programs must past COVID- 19 Screening before being granted permission to enter.
All in-home meetings with families and face to face group therapy sessions are currently suspended.
All Day Treatment Programs are running
Wintergreen Respite Program is still operating under considerable modifications and strict protocols
Live-In Treatment programs remain operational, with strict COVID-19 screening protocols in place.
